Most people who switch to natural deodorant have already tried one that didn’t work out. That’s almost always the story, and after a couple of those it gets hard to want to try again.
Usually the problem is baking soda. It’s in most natural deodorants, it’s what a lot of people react to, and this one doesn’t contain any. Potato starch, arrowroot powder and a little magnesium hydroxide do that job instead. The magnesium hydroxide barely dissolves, which is what makes it gentler than bicarbonate.
Deodorant and bar soap are the two things most people swap first, partly because you use them daily and partly because you’ll know quickly whether they’re working for you. That makes them an easy place to start if you’re not ready to redo the whole bathroom.

A Note On Switching
If natural deodorant hasn’t worked out for you before, baking soda is usually why, and mine doesn’t contain any.
There’s also no adjustment period with this one. No detox phase, no two weeks of waiting it out. You’ll know within a day or two.
And one straight answer, because I’d rather you hear it from me than find out: this is a deodorant, not an antiperspirant. You will still sweat. Odor is the part it handles. Stopping sweat takes aluminum, which is the whole thing we’re leaving out.
