Refund/Store Credit Policy
At Hemsworth Homestead, our #1 priority is serving and satisfying our customers!
Due to the nature of our products and for hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns (see below for possible exceptions). No refunds will be given unless there was a mistake or overage in the charges on your order. If you are not satisfied with your products, we can offer a store credit. We have a 14-day policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a store credit - must be requested via email.
**Note: Items that may melt in transit (body butters, lotion bars, lip balms, and salves) are not recommended to be purchased during warmer weather, which can vary due to the region you live in. These items cannot be returned or refunded because of melting. Please do not leave your package out in the weather.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Photo evidence of damage may be required to receive a store credit.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Most of our items cannot be returned, like personal care goods and beauty products. Unused, new, and undamaged home good products (like cleaning brushes or soap dishes) may be returned at the customer's expense. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot give refunds/store credit on sale items or gift cards.
Refund/Store Credit Process
We will notify you once we’ve received your help request, and let you know if it was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically sent a store credit in the form a gift certificate to the email provided or as a credit on your account within 10 business days.
If you are receiving a refund due to overages or mistaken charges, they will be posted to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Shipping Policy
All orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. During times of higher order volume, this processing time may be longer. You will receive a notification when your order has shipped. Orders may be delayed if the postal or shipping service is experiencing high volumes or delays as well. Please check your tracking number for more information about estimated delivery dates.

For calculated shipping rates: Shipping charges for your order will be calculated based on weight and displayed at checkout.
For free shipping: We offer free shipping on orders over $50.

Local Pickup
You can skip the shipping fees with free local pickup at 2102 Burlington Road, University Park, IA. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within 1 to 2 business days. We will send you an email or SMS message when your order is ready along with instructions. (I cannot respond to or view SMS replies, so please do not contact me via this method.) Please email me at info@hemsworthhomestead.com or message me via Instagram or Facebook to set up a pickup time.
Our pickup hours can vary depending on availability - please contact us to arrange a pickup time. Generally, pickup is available during normal business hours (8am-5pm weekdays, occasionally available on weekends).
How do I check the status of my order?
When your order has shipped, you will receive an email or SMS notification (depending on what you provided) from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.
If you haven’t received your order within 7 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at info@hemsworthhomestead.com with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.
Shipping to P.O. boxes
USPS is the only mail service that is allowed to ship to P.O. boxes. Please make sure to include your PO Box number in your shipping address to ensure no delays in your shipment.
What should I do if I think my order is lost/has not been delivered?
If you believe there is an error with your shipment, it has not been delivered, or it has been delivered to the wrong address, please do the following:
1) Check all around your house/apartment to see if it was delivered to an unusual location.
2) Check with your neighbors or others around you to make sure it was not already delivered or delivered to a nearby house/apartment.
3) If you cannot find it through any of these means, please start by contacting the carrier with the tracking number you have been provided. They may be able to provide you with additional information about the carrier and route it would have been delivered by.
4) If you have done all these things and still have not received your order, please contact me at info@hemsworthhomestead.com with your order number. We will look into it further for you.
If your order has truly been lost or not received, we will contact the carrier to see if the package was insured and if it applies. While this is resolving, we can offer store credit for the amount of your original order so you can reorder if needed. We cannot guarantee that the items you originally ordered will be available or in stock again, especially if it is a limited edition item.
