Hemsworth Homestead handmade sugar scrubs are made with quality, naturally derived ingredients and are scented with 100% pure essential oils. Optiphen Plus is used in my sugar scrubs as a natural preservative that is paraben and formaldehyde free and is internationally accepted for use in cosmetics. It prevents the growth of bacteria and mold so you can use your sugar scrubs in your shower or bath with confidence!
Ingredients: Sugar, Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Emulsifying Wax NF, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Citrus Limonum (Lemon) Oil, Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol (and) Sorbic Acid
Directions
Do not use more than 2-3 times weekly to avoid over-exfoliating the skin. Use the included spatula or dry fingers to remove a small amount of scrub from the jar. Massage scrub onto wet skin. Rinse off with warm water. Avoid getting water into the sugar scrub jar to maintain its texture and prevent microbial growth.
Details
This sugar scrub is emulsified, meaning it creates a light foaming effect when mixing with water. This also means it is more resistant to temperature fluctuations during shipment and should not melt during transit like my original recipe for sugar scrubs.
Each sugar scrub jar contains about 10.5oz or 300g each. Due to the nature of these products being handmade, there may be slight variations in appearance. These sugar scrubs contain a natural preservative (see above), but they should be used within 12 months of opening to avoid mold or bacterial contamination.
Allergy Warning: People with skin sensitivities or allergies should first test the scrub on a small spot of the skin and stop using it if any irritation occurs.
